ISLAMABAD -Provincial Minister for Food, Bilal Yasin on Monday said there is no shortage of wheat products in any part of the country.

He said that sufficient wheat is available in the markets, adding that there is no shortage of flour bags in the country.

Talking to Pakistan Television channel, he said that there were some issues between the Flour Mills Association and the government adding that all the issues have been resolved with the owners of the flour mills.  Bilal Yasin said that action would be taken against those elements creating artificial shortage of wheat in any part of the country.

Provincial Minister said that Punjab government is giving subsidy on the wheat. Replying to a question he said that mechanism for price control committee is active and the action will be taken against the shopkeepers selling the essential commodities on exorbitant rates.
