LAHORE -The Pakistan Flour Mills Association on Monday called off strike after assurance by the Food Minister to address the millers’ grievances. The association members meet the minister at his office assured to withdraw strike call.

Food Minister Bilal Yasin assured the Association that Food Department will issue licences to the flour mills and also check the quality of flour. He said that only Food Department will regularise flour mills. On this occasion, Chairman Punjab Flour Mills Association Mian Riaz said that 20 kg flour bag is being sold at Rs 785 in open market in abundance. He said there was no shortage of flour.
