Sahiwal- Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has suspended the police officials for their negligence in a rape case.
The CM arrived in Sahiwal and met parents of a girl who was allegedly molested by three men in Sahiwal. Shahbaz Sharif expressed his sympathy with the victim’s family and assured that the culprits would be brought to justice. The CM, who was accompanied by the IG Punjab and other key officers, called the relevant officers before the victim’s family and scolded them. “I have suspended DSP, SHO, investigation officers, other relevant police officials and have ordered action against them… The IG and RPO will also be suspended if culprits were not arrested in 48 hours,” Shahbaz Sharif said.
“Why complaints of the victims remained unattained? What they are doing in their areas? This is laxity and poor performance they have shown and mishandled the case,” the CM spoke to the media.
