KHANEWAL -: Modern agricultural technology and its use are dire need of the hour in order to achieve food security and rural development in the country. This was stated by MPA Syed Hussain Jahanian Gardezi addressing to Agricultural Technology Transfer Seminar jointly organized by University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and Farmers Associates of Pakistan (FAP) Gardezi said, ”If technology be made available to farmers along with with required resources there would be revolution in agriculture sector” .He urged scientists to demonstrate various new technologies in the field as it would effectively inspire the farming community.

Prof. Dr. Asif Ali, Director ORIC UAF said that University would set up a farmers’ facilitation center to guide the farmers round the clock through 24/7 toll free telephonic calls.  “UAF had been striving hard to provide community services across the province”.

District Governor FAP Khanewal Pir Imran Shah Khagga said that Khanewal is blessed with rich soil resources & seed production and lauded UAF and FAP for their outreach activities for growers.Fazalur Rehman MPA, Dr. Sagheer Ahmad Cotton Botanist Multan, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Dean Faculty of Agricultural Engineering UAF, Director Water Management & Research Centre, UAF, Prof. Dr. Allah Bukhsh and Dr.M.Rasheed Ex-Director General Research Punjab also spoke on the occasion.
