KARACHI - Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) is working to identify the hindrances to trade and will take every possible step to address these. This was stated by Chief Executive Officer TDAP, S. M. Muneer while speaking at a dinner hosted for him here, said a press release on Monday.

He said that increasing trade with the neighbouring countries is among the priorities of the government and TDAP will play an important role in this regard. For this purpose, dialogues will be conducted at every level with the neighbouring countries, he said. TDAP’s Chief said that Federal Ministry of Commerce is reviewing the trade strategy of the country so that efforts could be made to increase Pakistan’s trade share in the existing markets and to find new markets.

The business community should concentrate towards value addition so that exports volume can be increased, he said.  President, All Karachi Industrial Alliance, Mian Zahid Hussain said Pakistan is moving towards economic growth and the results of the government’s positive policies have started coming up.  Khalid Tawab said that confidence of the businessmen on the government has increased and there is growth in trade activities.  The dinner was hosted by Kaleem Siddiqui, Shabbir Ahmed and Tariq Rafi.President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aamir Abdullah Zaki, Ikhlaq Memon, Arif Habib, Yahya Polani, Muneer Sultan, Mohammad Zubair Chhaya, Farhan-ur-Rehman were also present.
