PESHAWAR - A three-day campaign to eradicate polio from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) was kicked off on Monday. The polio eradication campaign commencing from April 14 to 16 was inaugurated by the Secretary Production and Livelihood Development Department (P&LDD) Farukh Siar here at the FATA Secretariat

The FATA Secretariat Health Department is carrying out the polio eradication campaign in FATA with the help of Rotary International, World Health Organisation (WHO) and United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

This campaign will be covering all the agencies, excluding North and South Waziristan along with few areas of Frontier Region (FR) Bannu.

Total targeted population is 7,10,132 while 2,643 teams have been appointed for this purpose.
