Gas pipelines blown up in Sindh and Balochistan

Khairpur/ Dera Bugti- Two gas pipelines were blown up in Sindh and Balochistan today, suspending the natural gas supply to various towns.
Police officials said unknown miscreants set off explosives to blow up a 16-inch diameter pipeline in Qaisar Khan village near the Khairpur city of Sindh. Gas supply to Sukkur, Khairpur and other cities was cut off after the blast.
Another pipeline was blown up in a remote area of Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district, suspending gas supply to Pir Koh gas plants. Police and security forces arrived at the sites where repair was underway.
Various gas pipelines have been blown up over the past few months in towns bordering restive Balochistan. The rebels have also targeted passenger trains by blowing up railway tracks in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab.
