The Lohari Gate police had lodged FIR against Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on the charges of holding marches and rallies against former military ruler Pervez Musharraf and attacking police in 2004.
The police booked Saad under 7-ATA and other sections of PPC.
Pursuant to court’s order SHO Lahori presented the record of the case. The court will resume hearing on April 27.
 Gullu Butt case:
The Lahore High Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Punjab government on bail application of Gullu Butt, an accused of smashing vehicles in Model Town incident.
Gullu But had filed fresh application against his sentence awarded by an Anti Terrorism Court for ransacking several vehicles parked at Minhajul Quran Secretariat, Model Town, during police operation.
His counsel submitted that the police implicated him on political pressure which led him imprisoned for 11 years in October 2014. He said his client is innocent and there are sufficient proofs of his exoneration from the case.
He said there are no chances of fixation of his appeal against sentence in near future therefore his imprisonment be suspended till decision on the appeal and he be released on bail.
A division bench of the LHC heard the case and adjourned the hearing for one week with directions to police to submit record on the next hearing.
