Islamabad - Capital Development Authority (CDA) has successfully conducted a transparent computerised balloting for allotment of 4,078 plots in lieu of flats to the former flat-allottees of sector I-15 at the Pak China Friendship Centre here Thursday.

These plots are being allotted in the same sector at subsidised rates as compared to the original price of the flats. The balloting process was supervised by a committee headed by Member Finance CDA Waseem Ahmed Khan. While Deputy Director General Land and Estate, Director Estate Management-I (West), Director Information Technology, Director Security of the CDA and Director Surveillance of National Data Base and Registration Authority (NADRA) being members of the balloting supervisory committee were also present on the occasion. The process was also conducted in the presence of large number of flat allottees of sector I-15 while representatives of both electronic and print media also witnessed the process. The balloting results will be uploaded on website of the Authority. In order to ensure transparency in the balloting process, an especially designed, three-layer protected, NADRA prepared software was used. Furthermore, an expert team, comprising five officials of NADRA, operated this software to make the process more transparent.

Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal has lauded the steps taken by the relevant formations of the Authority for organizing transparent and successful balloting of the plots in lieu of flats to the flat-allottees of sector I-15. He said that authority has 100 per cent land possession in this sector and this was last obstacle which was being faced towards development of sector I-15. He directed the Engineering Wing of the authority to complete all codel formalities for immediate initiation of development work in sector I-15.
