ISLAMABAD  - Pakistan People’s Party yesterday announced a five-member Coordination Committee for the Sindh province as the provincial organisation stood dissolved.

The PPP nominated Nisar Ahmed Khoro, Maula Buksh Chandio, Murad Ali Shah, Nafisa Shah and Rashid Rabbani as Coordination Committee members for Sindh.

The PPP had earlier dissolved the party organizations down to the district level in all the provinces replacing them with a five-member organizing committee at the provincial level in each province to recommend to the PPP chief on the re-organization within three months.

Meanwhile, PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the PPP will take up the Panama leaks issue as a responsible opposition party. In a meeting with former Prime Minister Yosuaf Raza Gilani here, Bilawal said the Panama Papers was a serious issue and the government needed to ensure fair investigations.

PPP sources said Bilawal vowed to give tough time to the government but at the same time protect the system. Yousaf Raza Gilani also discussed the reorganisation of the party in Punjab with the young PPP leader. The sources said the issue of Gilani’s kidnapped son Ali Qadri Gilani also came under discussion.

Also yesterday, PPP spokesman Senator Farhatullah Baber said that Senator Rehman Malik was not chided by the party leadership during last day’s meeting at the Zardari house. “There is no truth in these reports,” he added.
