LAHORE – District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal has lauded district administration officials on arranging an outstanding ceremony, which was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and a number of provincial ministers, on the 65th Independence Day of Pakistan at Hazoori Bagh.
After the ceremony, the DCO personally met the officials of different departments and lauded their matchless work to arrange the ceremony. The DCO also appreciated the students who sang national songs on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the DCO visited Mian Munshi District Headquarters Hospital on the occasion of the Independence Day on Tuesday morning. He was the chief guest of the flag-hoisting ceremony at the hospital.
On this occasion, EDO (Health), district administration staff officers and other officers concerned were with him. The DCO Lahore waved the national flag in the air. Later, he inquired after patient’s health and about the medical facilities provided to them by the hospital administration. He also visited different departments of the hospital and showed his satisfaction about medical facilities and cleanliness there. He congratulated all patients on the occasion of the Independence Day and also distributed sweets among them.
Further, the DCO also visited the grave of renowned poet and author of national anthem Hafeez Jalandri on the occasion of the Independence Day on Tuesday afternoon.
He prayed for the departed soul and paid him rich tribute on his matchless and outstanding services in the Pakistan Movement. The DCO also participated in the air show organised by the Cultural Department at Minar-i-Pakistan.
