wah cantt - DIG Motorways Police N-5 North Zone, Ahmed Mukhtar while talking to journalists at Sangjani Tool Plaza has said that in accordance with the directions of IG NH&MP, special gift hampers have been distributed amongst kids and road users in N-5 North Zone on this delightful occasion of Independence Day.

The DIG said that NH&MP Officers have always tried their best to uphold the set values of Motorway Police and safety of road users is vital for us.  The DIG added that special gift stalls have been organised for the road users and special briefing officers were deputed at all the toll plazas of N-5 North Zone from Peshawar to Lahore GT Road including Murree Expressway.

DIG Ahmed Mukhtar Khan further added that such activities not only play a pivotal role in establishing friendly police public relationship but also create a sense of security in the minds of commuters. He added that 14th August not only commemorates our independence and sovereignty but also illustrates the efforts of our elders for the achievement of Pakistan and now it is our responsibility to strive for the prosperity of our beloved Country.

The DIG further added that special traffic plan was chalked out to maintain free flow of traffic and facilitate the road users. For this purpose special patrolling squads were formed under the supervision of SSP Farrukh rasheed, SP Naeem Hayat Tiwana and SP INAM Elahi to control the traffic in their respective areas of N-5 North Zone and keep a vigilant eye on outlaws. DIG further informed that all DSPs, operation officers and field staff remained on the road and all the available resources were utilised to make this plan a success in facilitating the road users.
