ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Kashmir is unfinished agenda of United Nations (UN) as well as partition of the sub-continent and Pakistan remains committed for peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue through negotiations and dialogue.

The Prime Minister stated this while talking to Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N’s) Presidential candidate for Azad Jammu and Kashmir(AJ&K) Masood Khan who called on him at PM House on Monday and discussed with him important party related matters.

The Premier appreciated the role of Masood Khan in highlighting the Kashmir Cause during his various diplomatic assignments particularly during his tenure as Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN.

PM Nawaz reiterated his condemnation of the Indian state oppression on the innocent and defenceless people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK). The Prime Minister said that the struggle of the people of IOK for their right to self determination has been reinforced by every passing generation with new zeal and spirit. The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to support the just cause of the people of Jammu and Kashmir at every forum politically, diplomatically and ethically.

Masood Khan thanked the Prime Minister for nominating him as PML-N’s candidate for the office of President AJK. Expressing gratitude, Masood Khan said that he would work for the wellbeing and betterment of the people of AJK and would help in further highlighting the just freedom cause of occupied Kashmir.
