LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday ordered foolproof security of schools at the end of summer vacations, saying that the plan evolved for protection of schoolchildren should be strictly implemented.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of steering committee set up with regard to missing children. He said all-out efforts should be made for tracing missing children.

The chief minister said that due to effective measures taken by institutions concerned of the Punjab government such incidents have reduced substantially.

Shahbaz, however, said that the facts in this regard should be brought to light and necessary measures should be taken for controlling such incidents.

The Punjab chief minister said every child is dear to him and no effort will be spared for the protection of children as they are the future of Pakistan.

He also directed advocate general and prosecution secretary to work efficiently for early disposal of cases pertaining to missing children.
