Last week, Ali Bux Mahar took social media by storm when it was reported he would be Sindh’s new sports minister. Guess what! The ‘Chief’, as he refers to himself, has done something again.

In a video that is making rounds on social media, the young and energetic sports minister can be seen performing 50 push-ups. Mahar then goes on to challenge political rivals to perform the same feat.

Responding to the challenge, Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Talal Chaudhry said he was ready to take on a personal fitness challenge but added that such challenges do not suit elected representatives.

Talal hit back by bringing up a challenge of his own, asking the Sindh sports minister to compete on performance basis in their respective provinces.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, however, had a more personal response to the challenge. “He (Mahar) might be physically fit but he is mentally unfit,” said Rana Sanaullah.
