CHINIOT-The police resolved the ‘mystery’ of a boy kidnapping and found it to be fake and fabricated.

According the Rajoa Police, the police were informed about the kidnapping of a boy of Faisalabad who later escaped the abductors captivity and reached his relative’s house in Chak 135/JB.

At which a team of the Rajoa Police headed by its SHO headed for the village and took the teenager into custody. The teenager told the police that his name is Ehsan Elahi, son of Zahoor Ahmad, a resident of Chak 188/RB, Faisalabad. He said he was going to Chak Jhumra village when two women along with a man, riding a carry van called and smelled him some intoxication. He fell unconscious and they put him in the van. The boy claimed that there were many other children in the van as well. However, at some place when the kidnappers stopped the vehicle and went for having meal, he succeeded in fleeing from the van. He said that he managed to reached the house of his relatives in Chak 135/JB.

However, after the police investigation, the boy admitted that he had “fabricated the story” to get favours for his relatives and family members and “that he has ashamed of it.”

Chiniot DPO Mustansar Feroz told reporters after bringing the boy to the media that there is not a single incident of kidnap reported across district Chiniot. He claimed that people have been spreading rumours about child abductions which are totally unfounded and false.

He appealed to people not to heed such rumours and nor forward such false sms without verifying it from the local police station or 15.
