KARACHI The Sindh Police Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Monday claimed to have arrested Tooti Khan, an important militant commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat, from Ittehad Town here in the City. An CID (Investigation) team, headed by SSP Umar Shahid raided a hideout in Ittehad Town and arrested the alleged accused Haroon Rashid alias Tooti Khan and recovered a TT pistol from his possession, said the CID Police officials. They said that accused was the closed associate of Molvi Fazalullah and Abu Faraj of TTP Swat and had been involved in the murders of law enforcement personnel and attacked on various sensitive installations, and army and police check posts. The CID police claimed that the accused was wanted to the Army and the Swat police in various high profile cases. Meanwhile, a private TV channel adds: CID SSP Omar Shahid said that Commander Tooti Khan has been arrested from Ittehad Town of the City. While a huge cache of arms and explosives have also been recovered from his possession. Tooti Khan is alleged to have been involved in attacks on security forces and check-posts.
