Six children from the same nomadic family are dead after a landmine from Somalia's wars with Ethiopia blew up in a border village, officials and witnesses said Tuesday. The fatal blast occurred Monday in Balanbale, which served as a base for Somali forces during the 1977 and 1982 conflicts, local district commissioner Hassan Barre said. "It's a tragedy, the village is in shock. This family has lost all its children in one accident," added Mohamed Adan Sugule, a local elder.
