ISLAMABAD Security forces have killed nine terrorists in both South Waziristan Agency and Swat, while two soldiers got injured in SWA, says an ISPR press release issued here on Monday. According to the press release, security forces killed four terrorists including commander Abdul Ghafoor at Mola Khan Sarai, while one soldier was injured during an encounter in Shakai Sector. It further said that the security forces carried domination operation at village Tanga Patai, destroyed 9 IEDs and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition. During the encounter, one terrorist was killed and one soldier got injured. In Jandola sector, security forces carried out sanitization and clearance operation at Malik Shahi near Kotkai and Stara Gharlamai and recovered arms and ammunition. Search operation at Warzi Oba and Khuni Ridge near Sarwakai is also under process and notables of the area have assured complete support to the military operations. In Razmak sector, terrorists fired rockets at Nawazkot that was effectively responded. A free medical camp was established at Lattaka near Makeen that provided free medical treatment and medicines to the patients. Establishment of medical camp was highly appreciated by the locals who demanded frequent establishment of such camps. As part of relief measures, a total of 23,366 Cash Cards have been issued to displaced families of Waziristan. Meanwhile in Swat-Malakand, security forces conducted search operation at Najigram and killed four terrorists. The security forces conducted search operation at Malukabad, Maniari, Gumbad Mera and apprehended three terrorists, while one terrorist voluntarily surrendered himself to security forces at Bhai Kalle. Our Staff Reporter from Parachinar adds: Amidst continued shelling of gunship helicopter and firing of artillery guns, at least seven more militants were killed and 11 others got injured in different areas of Kurram Agency on Monday. Sources informed that security forces had cleared Sultani, Toda Aba, and Tarali areas during the last three days. The forces also pounded three important hideouts of militants, which resulted in killing of seven militants. Meanwhile, the residents of the aforementioned areas have started shifting to safer places. Around 1200 families have left Massozai after the fighting. The displaced persons are facing hardships in the absence of the relief camps and lack of any arrangement for registration of the IDPs. According to unofficial figures the number of IDPs from Orakzai Agency and Shahukhel region has surpassed 250,000 but their registration not yet started neither they were declared as internally displaced persons.
