LAHORE The Anti Corruption Establishment has arrested a Patwari, Sajjad, during a trap raid, while taking bribe and sent him to jail on judicial remand. The trap raid was conducted under the supervision of a magistrate in Kasur. According to details, Rasheed Ahmed, a resident of Gohr Hathar, a village near Kasur, lodged a complaint to the anti-corruption authorities that Sajjad Patwari demanded Rs 5,000 for mutation of his land and the same were given to him. But now, the said Patwari had refused to transfer the land in his name and demanding Rs 5000 more as gratification. Under the direction of the authorities, circle officer anti-corruption Kasur Ch Inam-ul-Haq conducted a raid under the supervision of magistrate Rana Ilyas Bashir at the private office of Sajjad Patwari. The said Patwari was taking bribe from Rasheed Ahmed at that time and consequently arrested red handed. The magistrate after recovery of the amount of gratification, registered a case against the Patwari, arrested him and sent him to jail on judicial remand.
