LAHORE The Government has decided to disburse pension to the retired government servants through their bank accounts on the pattern of serving employees. Orders have been issued to all Accountants General to adopt the new procedure for the payment of pension from January 1, 2010. This decision has been taken for the convenience of pensioners. Under the new procedure, pensioners will be able to receive their pension from any scheduled bank. The pensioners will have the right to adopt the new procedure or to follow the existing one for receiving their pension. In order to opt for the new procedure, they will have to fill an option form which can be obtained from the Accountant General Office (AG Office) or download it from the AG Office website www.cga.gov.pk.
