Sindh CMs daughter replaces secy education

KARACHI - The Sindh Chief Ministers Inspection Team (CMIT) has detected that appointments were made in the Sindh Education Department on fake orders. However, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah is not happy with the affairs of the Education Department, so he ordered for posting of his daughter Naheed S Durrani as Sindh Secretary Education. Sources privy to the development told The Nation that the CM Secretariat received complaints about recruitment of 27 primary teachers on fake orders in Umerkot district some two months ago. However, the CM referred the matter to CMIT, which conducted inquiry and confirmed that recruitments were made with fake signatures of the concerned Deputy Secretary of Education. The sources further said that CMIT found that fake appointment orders were issued on October 1, 2010. Official sources confirmed that CMIT had completed inquiry into fake appointment orders and the report had also been submitted with the CM Secretariat. The sources further said that CM Shah brought the matter before MNA Faryal Talpur, sister of President Asif Ali Zardari, who is currently running the affairs of the Government of Sindh. After getting approval from the 'unofficial head of the provincial affairs, Secretary Education Ilemuddin Bilo was replaced with Naheed S Durrani, the sources confirmed. Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq was also not taken on board in the transfer of the Secretary Education.
