KARACHI - Pakistan People’s Party’s Central Deputy Secretary Information and Provincial Minister for Information, Sharjeel Memon said that Supreme Court Registrar’s refusal to appear before Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has created doubts. He remarked in a statement issued here on Friday.
Memon said that SC Registrar was a servant of the government and his refusal to appear before the court showed that there was something wrong at the bottom.
He said that when every department was bound to answer before the PAC then SC should not have raised the objection.
Provincial Minister said that SC was also answerable about the people’s taxes.
“Those who talk about rule of law can not be above the law and refusal of SC Registrar to appear before PAC was insult to the parliament and the masses as well,” the minister said.
