RISALPUR - Government College University Lahore won the All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest held at PAF Academy Risalpur.

A news release said Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was the chief guest on the occasion.

The talented youth from 45 premier institutions of Pakistan participated in the contest held at PAF Academy Risalpur from 13 to 14 Dec 2012.

Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force awarded prizes to the winners. First prize in English was awarded to Syeda Bareeha Fatima of Kinnaird College for Women Lahore, whereas second prize in English was won by GC_Hamza Ishtiaq of PMA Kakul.

In Urdu debates, First prize was awarded to Zahid Ali of Government College University Lahore and second was given to Mr. Hasan Hameed of NORE-I, Baheria College, Karachi.

All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest has been a regular feature on the academic training calendar of PAF Academy since 1974.

The declamation contest over the years has become a prestigious event for leading universities, colleges, and institutions from Karachi to Khyber.

Enthusiastic teams gather at Pakistan Air Force Academy Risalpur every year from all over the country and actively participate in the contest.

They also get a chance to interact with the cadets and get a glimpse of life in the academy.
