NANKANA SAHIB - Maximum relief must be ensured to the consumers and farmers to save them from exploitation of profiteers. DCO Dr Usman Ali Khan stated during District Price Control Committee meeting held to fix the rates of essential commodities here the other day.The prices of various essential commodities were fixed as Daal Masoor (bareek) Rs87/kg, Daal Maash ( Mooti) Rs125/kg Daal Moong ( polished ) Rs80/kg , Daal Channa ( Mooti) Rs84/Kg, Basin Rs88, Rice Supper (New) Rs97/Kg, Rice Supper ( Old) Rs102 /Kg, Milk Rs50/litre, Yogurt Rs55/kg, Beef Rs220/kg, Mutton Rs425/kg Rooti ( 100 grams) Rs5, Nan (100 grams) Rs6 each. To a question regarding exploitation by petrol pumps owners, the DCO said that all revenue officers and price control magistrate had been instructed to ensure the rates and quality of the essential commodities.The ADC Jameel Ahmed, AC Shakeel Bhatti, Markazi Anjuman Tajran President Sh Tariq, DO E and IP Shafique Tariq, Consumers representatives, chairman Markets committees and other concerned District government representatives were also present in the meeting.
