SIALKOT - All the main traders bodies of the district including Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) have expressed grave concern over the sharp increase in the duration of unscheduled loadshedding of electricity in export-oriented city which stretch from 12 to 14 hours on daily basis. SCCI President Sheikh Abdul Majeed has asked the Gepco officials to reduce the duration of long hour power outages, saying that the Gepco should announce a schedule for power outages to save the industries. The traders representatives said that unscheduled loadshedding for long hour was not disturbing the routine of people but was also adversely affecting the production of the Industry. They said that exporters were unable to honour their commitments despite the fact that they were under an obligation to deliver consignments to their foreign buyers as per agreed terms. They demanded a schedule for the loadshedding for the industries.
