LAHORE - The management of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has announced allocate five Malala Yusafzae Scholarships for its students from Balochistan.

According to a press release by LCWU spokesperson issued on Friday, these golden scholarships include hostel accommodation as well. LCWU Vice Chancellor Dr.Sabiha Mansoor instructed the scholarship committee of LCWU to be proactive and identify students from remote areas so it can be insured that they are not only facilitated through scholarships but in any way that the University can provide an enabling environment.

 “We are trying our best to enable needy students specially who belong to remote areas to access higher education. Not because of any orders this is part of LCWU vision, mission and belief. This year LCWU scholarship committee has already awarded rupees 26 millions of scholarships to deserving students. Currently there are only two students from Balochistan and they did not apply for scholarships,” she added.

convocation: The 10th convocation of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) will be held in the University Auditorium on December 24.

According to LCWU spokesperson, all the students who have passed BS, MS/ M.Phil, Ph.D and Pharm-D in the year 2011 are directed to attend the Rehearsal to be held on December 22 and convocation both punctually in proper hood and gown. Students who will not attend rehearsal will not be allowed to join the convocation. They are directed to get the Registration Card from old Hall Ganga Ram Building LCWU from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm during working hours.
