LAHORE –As part of protest campaign, Punjab Paramedics Alliance held a demonstration at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and marched to the Punjab Assembly on Friday to press for the demands of revised service structure, health professional allowance and regularization of ad hoc employees. Dozens of paramedics, led by PPA chairman Malik Munir Ahmed, held demonstration outside emergency and later marched to the Faisal Chowk to protest against lack of interest on the part of bureaucracy to implement the Chief Minister orders. Carrying placards and banners inscribed with writings in favour of their demands, protesting paramedics chanted slogans against the bureaucracy.

Malik Munir said the lower cadre employees of hospitals were protesting for many years for a service structure, health professional allowance and regularization of ad hoc employees. He said the CM had promised to fulfill demand five month backs but the bureaucracy in health and finance department was using delaying tactics.
