ISLAMABAD - Parliamentarians called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday and discussed with him matters pertaining to their respective constituencies.

They also apprised the Prime Minister of the ongoing development projects in their areas.

The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s resolve to affect positive change in the living standard of people by ensuring the provision of basic necessities of life at their doorsteps.

The Prime Minister said that the government initiated social safety programmes like Benazir Income Support Programme and strengthened the role of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal to ameliorate the condition of the poor and the downtrodden.

The Prime Minister directed the members of the National Assembly to highlight the achievements of the govt as the general elections were around the corner.

Parliamentarians who met the Prime Minister included Syed Ala-ud-Din, Nazir Ahmed Bughio, Lal Chand, Eng.  Muhammad Tariq Khattak, Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur and Mir Humanyun Aziz Kurd.
