HAFIZABAD - The residents of Prem Kot staged a sit-in demonstration in front of DHQ Hospital to protest against the uncalled for behaviour of Lady Dr Faiza Butt. The protesters chanted slogans against the lady doctor for not issuing proper medico-legal report to Fatima Bibi who was tortured by the villagers few days back but the lady doctor declared the injuries self-inflicted.They blocked the road for more than an hour and demanded an inquiry against the doctor. They dispersed peacefully following assurance by the DHQ MS that an inquiry would be conducted against the lady doctor. Protest against PTA: Hundreds of mobile phone shopkeepers took out a rally from Church Chowk to Press Club to protest against PTA's new policy regarding sale of mobile SIMs. Mobile Phone Association President Malik Yasir Noor and General Secretary Haji Nazir Mughal led of the protest.Tractors awarded: Under the CM's Green Tractor Scheme, DCO Dr Farah Masood has handed over tractors' keys to 10 lucky draw winners during a ceremony.  She congratulated the winners who have been granted a subsidy of Rs200,000 on tractor and expressed the hope that their socio-economic condition would improve. So far, 76 growers have been provided subsidised tractors in the district.
