KARACHI – Several areas of the metropolis on Friday night witnessed aerial firing by the miscreants, forcing the traders to shutdown their business activities.  According to reports, some unidentified miscreants resorted to aerial firing compelling the shopkeepers and traders to close their businesses. Business outlets, including restaurants, hotels, food spots, petrol pumps, medical stores, grocery stores, which were usually remain open till late at night in Karachi, were closed just after the incident of aerial firing in various areas. The shops and food centres in Hyderabad were also closed after intermittent firing.

The law enforcers could not find the reasons for the aerial firing and closure of business, which caused tension that gripped various areas, including Saeedabad, Hassan Square, Maskan Chowrangi, old city areas, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Orangi Town, Baldia Town, Gulbhar, Sarjani Town, Nagan Chowrangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Hussainabad, Tariq Road, Liaquatabad, Water Pump, North Karachi, Landhi, Korangi, Saddar and Anda Morh.
