Kasuri questions govt’s efficiency

Former foreign minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri has said that the incumbent rulers have been hoodwinking the masses through false justifications that weak economy brought about the worst inflation and price hike, which he terms, are either the government has inherited from its predecessor or has been dictated by the IMF. He claimed that the IMF had only asked the rulers to keep a balance between the income and the expenditures and did not force them to print new currency.
Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri was talking to the party workers at the residence of PTI City President Nadeem Haroon Khan. On the occasion, Ch Ilyas Khas who contested the general election as an independent candidate from NA-140, announced joining the PTI. He joined the party along with dozens of others and vowed to beat PML-N in the constituency in the forthcoming local body elections.
Speaking on the occasion, PTI Punjab President Ch Ijaz Ahmed said that the PTI had certain reservations regarding the local government elections but it would not touch the system for the sake of smooth functioning of democracy. He urged the workers to join Imran Khan on Dec 22, to eradicate disappointment prevailed among the masses after the present rulers came to power. Former PPP district president Sardar Muhammad Hussain Dogar, former district nazim Rana Imtiaz Ali, Masood Bhatti, Nadeem Haroon Khan and Bukhtiar Kasuri were also present on the occasion.
