ISLAMABAD - Helped by superb performances of Danish Ali and Wajid Ali Khan, Lucky Star Cricket Club thrashed Al-Fateh Club by 86 runs in a challenge match here at Bhutto Cricket Ground. Lucky Star, batting first, posted a huge total of 246 on board for the loss of five wickets in 35 overs. Danish smashed 97 runs off 44 balls with the help of eight boundaries and five sixes. Aqdas also batted well and contributed important 63 runs while Raja M Faheem added 59. Ghulam Rasool and Ahsan Rizvi claimed two wickets each. Chasing 247 runs for victory, Al-Fateh were bundled out for 160 runs in 31 overs. M Naeem was the only notable scorer with 43 runs. Wajid Ali Khan was wrecker-in-chief as he clinched 5-19 runs while Hafiz Anwar and Saeed Chaudhry got one wicket.–Staff Reporter
