The District Administration Mirpur on Monday cancelled 969 arms licences of different categories on expiry of its renewal deadline, it is officially declared.
Mirpur Deputy Commissioner Ch Amjad Iqbal told this Correspondent on Monday that the cancelled arms licences included 9mm and 7mm pistols and revolvers and 12-bore guns. He said that licences holders had failed to get renewed their licences by the stipulated period.
