ISLAMABAD: Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch told the National Assembly today that payment of compensation for damaged houses, during the military operation in FATA will begin shortly.

He was responding to a calling attention notice moved by Muhammad  Jamaluddin regarding non-payment of four hundred thousand rupees each, to those tribesmen whose houses were destroyed and one hundred and sixty thousand rupees to those whose houses were damaged, during the military operation in FATA 

The Minister said the government has released Rs 5 billion for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Unit set up in the FATA Secretariat for disbursement. He said it is the responsibility of FATA Secretariat, PDMA, Governor and armed forces to distribute compensation payment.

Meanwhile two private members' bills were introduced in the National Assembly today. These include "The Fair Representation of Women Bill, 2015" and "The National Commission for Minority Rights Bill, 2015".

The chair referred the bills to the Standing Committees concerned. The House also accepted an amendment in the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007.

According to the amendment "Naat" will also be recited after the recitation of Holy Quran at the beginning of the proceedings of the House. The amendment was moved by retired Capt Muhammad Safdar and Syed Imran Ahmad Shah.

Muhammad Safdar said it is great honor for the House to adopt this amendment in the Holy month of Rabiul Awwal. Members appreciated the addition of Naat-e-Rasool [SAW] in the proceedings of the House. They said we should act upon the teachings of Islam.
