PTWF to hold Junior National Taekwondo from 17th

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTWF) will organise the 10th Korean Ambassador Junior National (male & female) Taekwondo Championship from December 17 here at Hamidi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex. Talking to The Nation, PTWF president Lt Col (R) Waseem Ahmed Janjua said: “The event is being sponsored by Korean Embassy. The teams from all departments, services, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK and Islamabad will participate in the event.”
He said that high-quality fights were being expected among top professionals. “Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera has given his complete assurance to provide the best facilities to make the event mega success. The Pakistan Sports Board DG, Korean ambassador and other sports dignitaries will grace the event,” he added.
“We are expecting top services officials, Pakistan Sports Board DG, Korean ambassador and other sports dignitaries to grace the championship as it will create awareness about this Korean Olympic martial art sport in the country and will prove fruitful to introduce this game among youth,” Col Waseem concluded.
