Al Baraka’s automobile dealership campaign

 

KARACHI (PR): Pakistan’s leading Islamic bank, Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) has launched an automobile dealership campaign. All the top automobile dealership CEOs and their teams from across the country were invited to this corporate event. The campaign was unveiled by Shuja Kidwai, COO of Al Baraka Bank, & Akif Imtiaz, consumer head of the Bank.

Symposium opened

LAHORE (PR): Federal Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain, while opening the 5th Interdisciplinary Research in Biomedical Materials (IRCBM) symposium jointly organised by the IRCBM at COMSATS Lahore and University of Sheffield, UK, lauded the joint effort supported by the Engineering and Physical Science Research (EPSRC) Council, UK. While assuring Ministry of Science and Technology’s continuous support, he said that Ministry takes pride in investing in the IRCBM at COMSATS Lahore and since initial funding in 2008, the Centre has indeed progressed rapidly.

The Centre’s team led by Prof Ihtesham ur Rehman has been instrumental in putting Pakistan strongly on the global research map in the field of Biomedical Materials. The efforts of IRCBM to move towards affordable biomedical materials is perfectly in line with the government’s vision of a better Pakistan which focuses on improving Pakistan’s technological competence in the 21st century.

 

IIL awards certificates

LAHORE: International Institute for Languages (IIL) has awarded certificates of appreciation to 20 instructors from Pakistan, America, England, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. These instructors taught English language to the employees of Saudi Aramco, the biggest oil producing company based in Saudi Arabia.

Askari Bank opens branch at Gwadar Port

 

LAHORE (PR): Askari bank has opened its new branch at the Gwadar Port premises. The branch was inaugurated by Dostain Khan Jamaldini, Chairman Gwadar Port Authority. Rashid Nawaz Tipu, Group Head – Askari Bank, Rashid Iqbal Shaikh, Regional General Manager Askari Bank, Peter Hu, Deputy General Manager China Overseas Port Holding Company, and other prominent personalities from the business community of China and Pakistan were present on the occasion.

By opening this new branch, Askari Bank has become the first bank to have its presence at the premises of the port which is emerging as the hub of economic activities in the region.

This initiative will also serve the growth and development of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Honda Atlas Cars holds free medical camp

LAHORE (PR): In continuation with the efforts for social uplift and community service of rural and less privileged areas, a one day free medical camp was arranged by Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited at Kot Asad Ullah , Multan Road, the other day. Total 471 patients were examined and medicines distributed to them for free of cost.

Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) has organized number of medical camps in rural areas for the welfare and social uplift of the community.

Doctors and paramedical staff was deputed at the camp who provided medical treatment in general health care. Besides medical facility, the camp was also aimed to educate local populace on personal health, hygienic, child health care, preventions of diseases and sanitation of living areas. The parents were also advised on curable diseases of children and women counseled on mother /child health related matters.
