PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government’s official website has been hacked by a group calling itself the 'Pashtun Cyber Army', on Thursday.
The hackers defaced kp.gov.pk with a message criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
The text read, "Shame on KPK people who elected a party run from Bani Gala." The hackers have also criticized what they allege is the "illegal occupation of Fata, Pashtunistan and Balochistan".
As a footnote, the hackers have asked that they be given the "credit" for the hacking instead of putting the blame on Indian intelligence agency RAW.
A representative at KP's e-Governance Web Cell said that efforts were being made to restore the site.
