ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), on Thursday, said it has obtained the services of a C-130 aircraft from Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to resume flight operation to Gilgit.

PIA spokesman, Danyal Gilani, in a statement said, “The decision has been taken on the directions of the federal government. The flight PK-605 would operate at 11 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. on Friday.”

“Passengers are requested to reach the airport accordingly,” he said.

He informed that, “The flight operation to Giligt Baltistan and northern areas was suspended shortly after the flight PK-661 crashed in Abbottabad, killing all 47 people on board.”

“The PIA also grounded all ATR aircraft until its fresh inspection,” he said.
