FAISALABAD - Faisalabad has a unique privilege to have the first ISO certified prison of Pakistan in addition to establishing the first display centre for exhibition of different products made by the inmates. This was stated by Chaudhry Saeedullah Gondal, deputy inspector general (DIG) Prisons Faisalabad. Addressing the business community at the FCCI, he appreciated the cooperation extended by the local philanthropists for upgrading the jail infrastructure in addition to facilitating the prisoners. He said that a comprehensive strategy had been evolved in collaboration with the business community to transform prisons into reform houses. He said that a TEVTA centre has been established to provide much needed skills to the inmates while stitching units had also been working in the prisons.
