Minister for Interior Rehman Malik on Monday urged Overseas Pakistanis to send their money through banks following official procedure and warned that strict action would be taken against those who use illegal channels. In a statement issued here on Monday, the minister lauded the efforts of Federal Investigation Agency due to which the value dollar rate decreased by Rs.1. He said that foreign exchange is an important source to collect revenue but hundi and other illegal means used by Pakistanis diaspora deprive the country from valuable money. He also warned that action would be taken against hundi companies running with or without license, adding that such money would also be confiscated by the government.
