LAHORE - Punjab University Directorate of Student Affairs organised launching ceremony of Naats collection of Muhammad Mohsin Abidi of Hailey College of Commerce titled “Gohar-e-Khaleeq”.

PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the ceremony while renowned journalist Dr Ajmal Niazi and Mufti Intikhar Ahmad were the chief guests. Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry and Prof Yaqoob Abid Khaliqi also addressed the ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, the VC said love with Prophet (PBUH) was fundamental pillar of our religion. He said Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was the best teacher and leader. He said Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) always stood by the innocent, sympathized poor and never misbehaved to anybody. The life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was an example for all of us. We should work hard to follow the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), he said and added the reason behind the downfall of the Muslim nation was its distance from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). He said every naat of Mohsin Abidi reflected the love for Muhammad (PBUH). He announced Rs 20,000 for Mohsin Abidi and Rs 5,000 each for Hafiz Tayyab and Muhammad Asif Munir, who recited Quran and Naat, respectively.

PU declares results: Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the results of BS Home Economics, Part-II (First Year), 2nd Annual Exam 2011 and BCom, Part-I (Special), Annual Exam 2011.
