KARACHI - The first round for Professionals and Senior Professionals of Rashid D Habib Memorial National Professional Golf Tournament started here Tuesday at Karachi Golf Club with a total 104 golfers participating including top 26 ranking players of Pakistan.
In round one of professional, Shabbir Iqbal of Navy, Matloob Ahmed of Lahore Gymkhana Club and M Safdar Khan of Gujranwala are tied for top position with 69 while Shahid Javed Khan of Royal Palm and Country Club and Nadeem Inayat of Karachi Gymkhana Club with 70. The professionals will play 54 holes during three days and the seniors will play 36 holes in two days.
Former national golf champion Ghulam Nabi of Lahore Gymkhana's grossed 71 with 35 out and 36 in as he played round one in senior professionals.
The event is being sponsored by Bank Al Habib Limited.
