SBP Governor's Cup Cricket in full swing


LAHORE - Five more matches have been played in the SBP Governor's Cup Super Series Cricket Tournament here on Tuesday at the different venues of the city.
In the first match between SBP Lahore vs SBP Hyderabad, a big total of the tournament 256 for the loss of five wickets has been piled up by the SBP Lahore in 20 overs. In reply, they restricted SBP Hyderabad to 130 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. SBP Lahore won the match with big margin of 126 runs. Zainul Hussain scored 101 runs and declared man of the match.
In the second match at LCCA ground, SBP Karachi scored 209 runs without loss of any wicket in 20 overs against HBL Karachi. SBP Karachi won the match by 64 runs and restricted HBL Karachi at 145 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Both openers Ehsan and Waqas slammed unbeaten centuries (101 and 100 runs respectively).
In the third match, Bank of Khyber Peshawar (BoK) won the match against HBL Multan by 47 runs. BoK set the target of 182 runs for the loss of three wickets in 18 overs and in reply, HBL Multan could score 134 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 18 overs. Walayaullah scored 73 runs and Saeed made 70 for BOK.
In the fourth match between UBL Karachi and SBP Rawalpindi, UBL Karachi won by 63 runs by setting 172 runs target for three wickets in 20 overs at Ali Garh ground. SBP Rawalpindi could score 108 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Wasim Ahmad (66) and Wasim Akhtar (42*) played well.
In the fifth match played at Cricket Centre between PPCBL Lahore and SBP Multan. PPCBL Lahore scored 193/8 wickets in 20 overs with Umar's 46 runs and Mubeen's 41 runs and won the match easily against SBP Multan.
Today's fixtures: SBP Lahore vs HBL Multan, BOK Peshawar vs SBP Karachi, SBP Hyderabad vs HBL Karachi, SBP Rawalpindi vs PPCBL Lahore and NBP Hyderabad vs SBP Multan.
