LAHORE - Sidra Nawaz and Beenish Javed steered Garrison Club to 160-run crushing victory over Comprehensive Learning College (CLC) in the Lahore Region Senior Inter-district Women Cricket Championship match here at the GCU ground on Tuesday.

Garrison Club, batting first, piled up a good total of 223 runs for the loss of four wickets in 35 overs as five overs were reduced due to ground conditions. Sidra Nawaz was the key player for Garrison Club as she remained unbeaten on 56 while Zaiba Manzoor (42), Mahlika Mansoor (34) and Shamsa Hashmi (39) played well. Sonia Ashraf, Zunaira Sajid and Momina got one wicket each for CLC.

CLC, in reply, were bundled out on merely 63 runs in 26.2 overs. Only Zoya Ikram (11) and Irum Aslam (19) reached the double figures. Beenish Javed bowled brilliantly and clinched four wickets for eight runs while Mahlika Mansoor and Shamsa Hashmi took two wickets each for nine and 11 runs respectively.

Today (Wednesday), Garrison Club will take on Ravi Club at KC ground while Universal Club will play against APWA Club at GCU ground.

Peshawar beat Charsadda:

Meanwhile, Aysha Naeem and Salma Faiz guided Peshawar to nine wickets win against Charsadda team in the ongoing Peshawar Region Inter District Women Cricket Championship here at BISE ground on Tuesday.

Aysha Naeem (43) and Salma Faiz (46) added 89 runs for second wicket to steer their team to victory. Zainba also played well for her 44- run knock. Earlier put into bat first, Charsadda were all out for 136 runs in 19.1 overs. Shakeela (45), Khula Khan (30),  Haseeba (24) and Sobgmai (28) played well.

For Peshawar Aysha Naeem got four wickets while Nousheed got three wickets and Zainab took two wickets.
