PSL: a losing battle

There was a lot of buzz around about Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the last few days. Launching ceremony of PSL was also attended by heavyweight officials and star cricketers of Pakistan. PCB officials were and still are claiming that big stars of international cricket will be playing in PSL. However Cricket South Africa (South Africa cricket authority) and Cricket Australia (Australian cricket authority) have announced that their current international players will not participate in the upcoming PSL. It is also expected that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will also not send their cricketers in the PSL.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) didn’t allow Pakistani players to participate in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) therefore there are bleak chances of Bangladeshi cricketers to feature in PSL. New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka, West Indies Zimbabwe are the remaining teams out of which New Zealand and England players may also not come.
So cricketers from Sri Lanka and West Indies may come and will participate in the event. If cricketers from Australia, South Africa and England will come, either they will be former cricketers or second string players. Therefore, it will be better for PSL if it will be staged in UAE, many star cricketers will participate in PSL. But the question which arises is that if PSL has to be played in UAE then why it is called Pakistan Super League?
