Be it our 'mamus', 'Chachus' or Tayas, all Pakistani uncles are somewhat the same. All of them love to talk about politics and sports. But if we had to list the types of Pakistani uncles, the list would look like this:

1.       The funny one

The uncle who you believe should be a standup comedian. He is extremely funny and can crack you up whenever.

2.       The quiet uncle

The quiet uncle is the one who walks in says hello and then just stays quiet in your company, because maybe he thinks you might never have anything in common. The thing is he never wants to talk, he’d rather stay quiet than waste his energy on Smalltalk.

3.       Awkward Small-Talk uncle:

So the awkward small talk is not a joke. The awkward-small-talk uncle tries his best to keep talking to you asking you questions to make the situation less awkward, but it still ends up being awkward.

4.       The ‘advice’ uncle:

The ‘advice’ uncle is the one who keeps telling you how to be great and do great. He will want to guide you whenever you need guidance; the fun part is that he will giveaway advice anyway whether you need it or not.

5.       The philosopher/poet uncle:

The philosopher/poet uncle is into the world of spirituality and philosophy. Every discussion turns into a literature fest.

6.       The cool Uncle:

The cool uncle is the one who just knows what to, say and bring, when he comes to visit.

7.       The Facebook uncle:

This is a new addition. The uncle who uses facebook as his pass time and stalks everything you do. But you know it’s kind of sweet.
