Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan appeared before Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in cases of attacking PTV building and torturing police official today.
During the hearing, Khan asked court what kind of democracy is that I have been charged with terrorism for holding political gathering. Upon this Judge Shahrukh Arjumand, Khan asked him to address the court through his lawyer.
Furthermore, Khan requested the court for exemption and interim bail.
The hearing wad adjourned till February 23.
In 2014, PTI and Tahir-ul-Qadri conducted a sit-in in Islamabad for alleged rigging in 2013 general elections and Model Town incident in which 14 people were killed when police moved to remove barriers outside Qadri's residence.
As the sit-in prolonged, SSP Junejo was beaten up by protesters as they moved to attack Pakistan Television (PTV) building in Islamabad.
