LAHORE - Investigation police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested the main suspect who was involved in a murder case registered with the Kahna police a couple of months ago.

The suspect was named by police as Shahzaib, who clubbed to death his aunt Allah Rakhi at her house in December. The suspect was arrested by police after his fingerprints matched with a stick found at the scene.  Senior police investigator Mubashir Maiken told reporters that police solved the blind murder mystery within a short span of time by applying modern investigation tools. The suspect also confessed to his crime during initial interrogation, the SSP said. Further investigation was under way.

Rs1 MILLION LOOTED

Gunmen riding a motorcycle stopped a car in the limits of North Cantonment Police and snatched one million rupees from the occupants, police sources said on Wednesday.  The man was coming back after withdrawing cash from a local bank when two motorcyclists stopped him on a busy road. He was robbed at gunpoint. The robbers fled instantly.

The police were investigating the incident.

 

In another similar incident, two motorcyclists stopped Waleed at gunpoint in the Harbanspura police precincts and fled after collecting cash and valuables, including a mobile phone. The victim told the police that the robbers also thrashed him as he tried to make hue and cry.
