ISLAMABAD - Once again locking horns with party leadership, former interior minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan asked former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to disclose name of the person who had advised him to fly back to Lahore after his disqualification instead of creating sensation in media by releasing a media clip about his chitchat with party leaders.

Spokesman of former interior minister further said that the decision about Nawaz Sharif’s journey back to Lahore via motorway was made in a meeting of select party leaders and except a couple of them resent around a dozen leaders were unanimous on the point that he(Nawaz) Sharif should return back via motorway mainly due to security reasons.

The spokesman further said that the decision of taking return home journey through G. T. Road was made after his interaction with media where some senior media persons advised him to travel through G.T.Road and mobilise public in his support. So the decision of going back through G.T.Road was not based on the advice of party leaders but journalists.

He further said that instead of creating suspense by saying in his interaction with party leaders that even a leader had advised him to fly back to Lahore instead of taking road route, adding he should himself name the person who had advised him so.

Ch. Nisar Ali Khan said that after the change in his return journey plan, Nawaz Sharif had advised him to talk to Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and convince him on it and he(Ch. Nisar) did it.

Interestingly, in the past month or so it was the second time when former interior minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan came out open, loud and direct against the party chief Nawaz Sharif mainly after the episode of serious allegations levelled against him(Nisar) by former information minister Senator Pervaiz Rasheed who even went to the extent that Ch. Nisar should leave the party if the decisions and policies of leadership were not acceptable to him.
